Hong Kong police found guilty of sexually assaulting a pregnant woman in a busy shopping mall
A Hong Kong police was found guilty after sexually assaulting a pregnant woman and attempted to buy her silence with money

Latest info as of 15 July, 2023 (1st publish of this post):

On 13 July, 2023, Cheuk-yin Lee (李卓賢) was found guilty at Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts for "Indecent Assault" and "Perverting the course of justice".

As of the time being, he would be on remand until 28 July, 2023 for sentencing.

What had he done?

On 23 November, 2021, he went to a toy shop at Mira Place 1 in Tsim Sha Tsui, one the busiest areas in Hong Kong. While shopping, he saw a stunning lady, pregnant, who was a staff inside the shop, losing control and kissed her without her consent. In addition, he pulled her collar and squeezed her breasts.

When the victim got angry and said that she would call 999 to report the case, he offered to give her HK $2,000,000 (approx. US $256,000) in exchange for her forgiveness.

While there are so many sex offenders, what made him a true 'fucker'?

  • He was a Senior Inspector of the Hong Kong Police Force. With two pips and a bar on his uniform, he was a commander of a police unit and therefore a high level of integrity and professionalism would be expected from him.
  • His action was premediated. He waited until the victim had gone into the pantry where there was no CCTV coverage then he started molesting her.
  • Instead of showing remorse, he attempted to use money to buy the victim's silence. This is a huge disgrace.
  • Instead of pleading guilty right at the beginning of the court hearing, he chose to defend himself and therefore the victim had to be questioned again in the public. Shameful!

What did the judge say when deciding that the fucker was guilty:

"......the victim was able to describe the course of events in detail and that she was a reliable and credible witness".

"......the defendant’s role as a police officer only aggravated his guilt as he should understand the law better than any other".

"......his intent to pervert the course of public justice was very obvious".
